Readers of this User's Guide are assumed to be familiar with the Ada programming language.

The Ada95 Reference Manual (ANSI/ISO/IEC 8652 1995) (referred to in this document as RM95) is the definitive source of information on the recent version of the Ada Language, commonly known as Ada95. Where the name Ada appears in this book it refers to Ada95.

References to RM95 that appear in this book list the chapter, section, and paragraph that contain the information. For instance, <9.3(2)> refers to the second paragraph of the third section of Chapter 9 in the Ada95 Reference Manual.

PowerAda does not support programs written in the original Ada Language, known as Ada83.
